Kemmi Sadler

Kemmi Sadler is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, where she served for more than 20 years. Before her federal service, she was a police officer with the St. Augustine Police Department in Florida.

She is the author of the upcoming memoir From the Badge to the Vine, which explores moral injury, identity, and the long work of healing and integration after service.

Kemmi is also the founder of Legalize the Divine, an initiative focused on trauma recovery in the first responder community and access to ancient healing traditions, including ayahuasca.

This spring, she will walk the 780-kilometer Camino de Santiago with her dog, Nona, in a pilgrimage called Nona’s Way — an awareness project honoring first responders and creating space for conversations around trauma and the right to heal.
