Lisa Knowles
Lisa Knowles, LMHC, is the owner and co-founder of The Watch Wellness Group, Inc. in Ludlow, Massachusetts—the area’s first private group mental health practice exclusively dedicated to first responders, public safety professionals, and military personnel. She’s been doing this work since 2012, when one uniformed officer showed up at her office in crisis and unknowingly launched a mission. Known for her direct, grounded approach and cultural credibility, Lisa built trust in the first responder community one client at a time. In 2022, she opened The Watch to meet the growing demand and, in 2024, founded the Massachusetts Coalition of First Responder Clinicians to unite others across the state who had also been doing this work in isolation. Today, she leads a growing team of passionate clinicians and proudly collaborates with the colleagues she helped bring together—because she knew from the beginning that first responders deserve care from people who get it.
